BLUF for 18 September 16:

Tigers and P3 will be training at home on Sunday – thanks to Gavin for coming forward to help coach the Tigers!

P4-P7 will have a mini tour to Mackie RFC on Sunday! An early start with an 0830 meet at the Club and 0845 from Dollar Academy layby – but it will be worth it!!!!! Please confirm your place with your coach asap:

Hillfoots Junior Mini Tour!

The outline for the mini-tour will be:

  • 0830 – meet at Hillfoots
  • 0845 – meet at Dollar Academy Layby
  • 1030 – arrive Mackie, play games and have hot dogs/food from Club
  • 1230 – go to beach for tag rugby (weather dependent) and maybe sweetie shop for journey home
  • 1400 – leave for home
  • 1600 – ETA Dollar
  • 1615 – ETA Tilly

The bus is expensive but we will offset the cost with some of the profit from last week. We will only ask for £5 per person (child/adult supporter) for the trip.

Thanks to the Volunteers for Sunday

Many thanks for the fantastic donations of home baking and for the volunteers who helped run the kitchen, the teas/coffees and hot dog/burgers. It was a small team which ran extremely well making over £500 for the Section!

On Sundays, please do not wait to be asked to help: the more volunteers we have, the more we can swap people around and enable you to spend more time pitchside!

Avoid the hassles of getting into Murrayfield by car or train!

The Club will organise a bus and tickets to see Scotland take on Australia in one of this year’s great autumn internationals! Ticket prices have been confirmed with the kids tickets at £10 and adults £25; and the bus will only be £10 for the return trip!Please email Niall with your ticket and/or bus requirements by Sunday 10 October 16, to book your places!

Finally, please do label the kit – if we can see a name when we are packing away, we will keep it for the next training session for you!

Dates for your Diaries:

  • 18 September – P3s and up are away to Mackie RFC. Bus details to follow on Sunday. Please sign up with your coach this Sunday so we know numbers! Tigers at home.
  • 25 September – Home training again from 1000 to 1200 – Rams team for home baking, teas and coffees please!
