U18’s WANTED

Hillfoots RFC is calling upon all 16 & 17 year old teenagers to play next weekend in the U18 Caledonia development league.  If you have never played rugby before please come along and if you have, you have no excuse!!  PARENTS – Please drive your sons down to training this Tuesday at 18.45 for a 19.00 start!

Coaches and volunteers wanted!!

Calling all family members, to make our smooth operation run a bit smoother and to have a higher quality of coaching we need your help doing the odd task.  The odd task can range from BBQ control, registers, strong lifters and efficient delegators!!

If you are unsure about the tasks above but know that you would be able to help in other ways please contact [email protected]

One of our main Junior Section objectives this year is to create a Parents’ Committee at Hillfoots RFC.  This Committee will feedback to JP Ward regarding any parent issues & any ideas which would benefit the Club.  The Committee will also act as a bridge for parents between age groups to share vital rugby kit washing information or the best ways to get to ‘that club up north’.  If you would like to be an ambassador of your son’s or daughter’s age group and be on the parents’ committee please contact JP Ward ASAP.  We will also be asking a select number of parents who we have worked with already to be the lead figures.  But don’t worry, there will be minimal work and lots of fun.

Kit

If your family requires new kit for this season after a summer of growing, please let JP Ward know ASAP and he will make sure there are sizes available for the start of the season.  If you have any old Hillfoots kit (tops, shorts or boots) which are in good condition, please can you donate it back to the club.  The reason why we ask you to do this is very simple.  When we have such an influx of new players who don’t have any rugby kit and want to play, we loan it to them, to give them a chance to be part of the team where ‘everybody plays’.  In order for this to work smoothly, we rely on your generous donations.

Emma will be down again on Sunday from 10.30, if you have any new kit enquiries please speak with her.  We will have a selection of kit available to try on and sell on Sunday, next to or underneath the  Hillfoots Big Blue Tent.  Please remember to bring cash or cheque books and please find attached kit prices for this season.

Autumn Internationals

This autumn Scotland is hosting New Zealand and South Africa at Murrayfield on the 11 & 17  November respectively.  If you want to go to the games please contact JP Ward ASAP for further details.
