Hillfoots made the long trip North on Saturday hoping to halt their poor run of results. It wasn’t to be and ‘Foots are still looking for that elusive win to secure their place in Caledonia 1 for next season. A dreadful start to the game saw the visitors lose 4 tries in the opening 15 minutes. To their credit Hillfoots woke up and started to put some decent rugby together. 2 more tries before halftime put the game beyond doubt for the home side.

A much better performance in the second half was needed and that’s what the Hillfoots coaches got. Hillfoots spent most of the game in the Ellon ’22, with Jamie Doyle grabbing the consolation try, however 3 interception tries that went the length of park for the home side gave the score a rather one sided look.
