The 1st XV are captained by Gavin Spowage & coached by Kevin Manson in 2011-12. They currently play in Caledonia Division 1. Having finished runners up in the 2010-11 season, the 1st XV hoped to go one better this season and win the League. However, despite beating the League winners, they will remain runners up to Aberdeenshire RFC for 2011-12.
The 1st XV are determined to win the League next year and to ultimately gain promotion back to the National Leagues.
Hillfoots 1st XV take a mid match break to talk tactics
The team train at the Club on Tuesday & Thursday nights from 19.00 to 21.00. From November until March the floodlit all weather pitches at Alva Academy are used for training.
