Minis

P1-P2

Our Micros are training 1000-1130 this Sunday at Home. Please make sure they are all dressed in warm clothing because winter is coming!!

P3-P7

Our mighty P3 to P7 teams are away to Falkirk for our monthly central festival event on Sunday. Car sharing is always a step in the right direction as so many parents cannot be in two places at once!! (So I have been told). Please be at Falkirk RFC for 1230 for 1245 pitch side warm up, games will aim to start at 1300. The tournament should finish by 1500 dependent on the number of teams entering.

Due to weather conditions please check the HRFC website to confirm the game will be on or off at http://hillfootsrfc.com/latest-update/ , this will save you turning up and finding out that the game was cancelled. Please check at 0900

For more info please email or if you have any questions please contact me asap rdo@hillfootsrfc.com

s1-s2

Our U14s are playing at home this Sunday against Grangemouth. Please meet at Hillfoots for 1000 for an 1100 kick off.

Wednesday night training is still on!! Warm clothing and tracksuits (with shorts underneath) are advised. Could all players remember to bring water bottles to training.

U15/16

Our Under 15/16s are away this weekend to Waid. Please meet at Bannockburn RFC at 0945 because the bus will be leaving at 1000. If you have any further questions please contact John Higgins asap.

u18

If your son is interested in playing rugby with last season’s league champions please contact rdo@hillfootsrfc.com . Everyone is welcome so see you down at Hillfoots for training on Tuesday for 1900 start.

girls rugby u18

Girls training is on this Sunday at HRFC, training starts at 1000-1130. Our ladies team will be training on the top left hand side of the park on second XV pitch.

Tell your friends !! Lucy and I are looking for fixtures in the next few weeks.

Coaches and volunteers wanted!!

Calling all family members, to make our smooth operation run a bit smoother and to have a higher quality of coaching we need your help doing the odd task. The odd task can range from BBQ control, registers, strong lifters and efficient delegators!!

If you are unsure about the tasks above but know that you would be able to help in other ways please contact rdo@hillfootsrfc.com

One of my main objectives this year is to create a parents’ committee at Hillfoots RFC. This committee will feedback to JP Ward regarding any parent issues to ideas which would benefit the club. The committee will also act as a bridge for parents between age groups to share vital rugby kit washing information or the best ways to get to ‘that club up north’. If you would like to be an ambassador of your son’s or daughter’s age group and be on the parents’ committee please contact me asap. I will also be asking select number of parents who I have worked with already to be the lead figures. But don’t worry there will be minimal work and lots of fun.

Kit

If your family requires new kit for this season after a summer of growing please let me know asap and I will make sure there are sizes available for the start of the season. If you have any old Hillfoots kit (tops, shorts or boots) which are in good condition please can you donate it back to the club. The reason why I ask you to do this is very simple. When we have such an influx of new players who don’t have any rugby kit and want to play, we loan it to give them a chance to be part of the team where ‘everybody plays’. In order for this to work we rely on your generous donations.

Autumn Internationals

This autumn Scotland is hosting New Zealand and South Africa at Murrayfield on the 11th and 17th of November. If you want to go to the games please contact me or Mike Power asap for further details.

If you have ordered tickets please pay me or Mike Power asap!! Cash, cheque or bank transfer is fine!

Looking forward to Sunday

John-Patrick Ward
