Minis

P1-P7 & Youth

This Sunday it is home training (fun games) from 10.00-11.30 and then we will have our End of Season Awards 11.30-13.30 on the Tilly Park.

The End of Season Awards Party celebrates another fantastic season at Hillfoots Rugby Football Club. To make this a real party we need PARTY food!

Please can your son or daughters age group bring the following:

P1-P3: Sandwiches (meat and vegy)

P4: Cakes

P5: Crisps

P6: Sandwiches and Cakes

P7: Juice – diluting

I would like to say a big thank you to all the Parents who helped every Sunday from carrying kit to cooking burgers at our record breaking festival. It has been a fantastic season where everyone has done their bit to help the club.

If you want to do a bit more and would like to be a part of either parents committee or club committee please contact me asap. We are on the lookout for anyone with experience in sponsorship.

Wednesday Night Training

Wednesday night skills training are back for age groups P5-P7 @ HRFC 17.00-18.00. Please note the time change from previous email.

U14

The U14 are training at Home this Sunday 10.00-11.30. Please bring match day kit because we will be playing an in house 7s tournament. At 11.00 we will be competing in the Youth Kick Cup competition. HRFC End of Season Awards will start at 11.30 and end 13.30

Please could all S1/S2 bring party food with them on Sunday!!!

Strength and condition is on tomorrow (Monday 18.00-20.00) , please can all players bring their trainers and shorts.

Wednesday evenings the U14 are at HILLFOOTS 18.00-20.00 where we will work on game shape.

Senior training is every Tuesday and Thursday at HRFC 19.00-20.30. Everyone is welcome to come down and get involved. Our veterans also train their touch rugby skills at the same times.

Cast Tups

The Cast Tups are always on the lookout for players so anyone looking for a game and beer please contact one of the two Norries by emailing rdo@hillfootsrfc.com or 07717627013 ASAP. The over 30s training starts back this Tuesday at HRFC from 1900-2000 on the local park. Their training consists of a good game of touch rugby followed by team tactics in the Wool Pack.

Hillfoots To Tour England

Hillfoots Junior Rugby Tour

Tour like a Lion this summer on the Hillfoots Rugby Tour!

The tour is planned to go to Thirsk RFC in North Yorkshire. We will be staying in the excellent Carlton Lodge Outdoor Centre nearby (http://www.carltonlodge.org.uk/) for each of the Friday and Sat nights. The structure of the weekend is planned in outline as follows:

Fri 10 May – afternoon 4pm

leave clubhouse in bus to Thirsk
Arrive around 8pm
Dinner once we arrive
Bed by 10pm!

Sat 11 May – all day

A range of team building and challenging activities during this day at the centre, focussing on team building, creative thinking and communication, including
Outdoor assault course & zip wires
Abseiling
Archery
Canoeing

Sun 12 May – morning

Bus into Thirsk
Matches start at 11am
BBQ festival lunch
Leave at 3pm
Arrive home around 7pm

Who:

This tour has a maximum of 38 places in total available due to accommodation restrictions at the centre.

Only 15 spaces left!

We taking at least 6 adults on this trip, so are allowing 32 junior spaces. As a result, we are limiting this tour to P6, P7, S1 and S2 age groups only at this stage

How much:

The accommodation costs are hopefully being kept to £99 for the two nights, including food plus the full day of activities. The only additional cost will be the bus for the two days, so we are hoping to keep the cost to under £150 in total.

Please reserve your place with a £50 deposit, payable by all the usual means (and we can now even take credit cards!)

To raise money for the tour, all members who going are taking part in the Alloa to Dollar Cyclathon on the 21^st April at 09.30-10.30 and the route is downhill!! We have 50 application forms so you can do it with the family or friends.

I look forward to peddling Mike Power along with a megaphone for encouragement !!!

This Sunday all Minis and Youth training is cancelled due to the HRFC Easter Rugby Camp. I like to thank everyone involved in the camp because it was a great success and everyone enjoyed themselves. To ensure everyone has recovered for next Sunday please enjoy your Sunday off!!

First XV

Hillfoots slipped deep into the relegation zone after a fourth straight defeat, this time at the hands of Mackie. Hillfoots find themselves with the difficult task of travelling to Orkney next week needing a bonus point win to give them any chance of survival in the Caldedonia National League 1.

Second XV

The Second XV are away this weekend to Carnoustie.

Hillfoots Youth Weekly News 24.03.2013

U14

The U14 are away to Grangemouth RFC this Sunday, please meet at Hillfoots for 10.20 for 11.00 meet at G RFC.

Please can all players remember their shirt and tie for after the game (play as a team, look like a team attitude).

Kick off is 12.00

Strength and Conditioning training is now on Monday evenings at the club for U14 from 18.00 to 19.00. They will learn basic lifting techniques and build up their muscle endurance.

Wednesday evenings the U14 are at Alva Academy 19.00 to 20.00
