Summer Tag Rugby

Summer Tag Rugby series continues this  Friday 20 May 16 at 1800hrs.  The aim is to get everyone playing together: from the Tigers, 1st XV, Veterans as well as Mums and Dads!  The format will enable all standards to have a fun and play, as well as having a social BBQ.  For the food, it will be a case of bring your own meat (or whatever you want to BBQ) as well as something for a salad, which we can all share.

Hillfoots CoachP7 to S2 Summer Training

Bob McKillop has very kindly volunteered his time to run Friday evening training sessions 1900 – 2000 for P7 to S2 age groups.  While this may seem like an early pre-season but we had 12 enthusiastic boys at training last week and we hope that figure will grow and keep them engaged over the summer.

The next Family friendly tag rugby will be Friday, 20 May at 1800 in the Park!

After a fantastic first session on the 6 May, we will hold the next Family Tag Rugby session at 1800 in Tilly Park on 20 May 16.  We will again have a fun game to start as a warm up with everyone followed by splitting into a ‘competive’ game for the older kids and having a more fun game for the smaller kids, which for some of the mums and dads was also verging on the highly competitive!!

IMG_2060_1024

It will be a self-service BBQ in other words, the BBQ will be lit and toasty hot by the end of our tag rugby session for you to cook whatever meat you wish to eat.  We would ask that everyone brings along some salad to share and we can have a picnic in the park!  Importantly, we will also have the bar open for liquid refreshments to allow you to re-hydrate!

See you all in the Park on Friday!!

Family friendly tag rugby starts this Friday, 6 May at 1800 in the Park!

Kids of all ages, mums, dads and even grandparents can play this fun and non-contact game. We will play for about an hour, by which time the BBQ will be toasty hot for your to cook whatever you wish to have for your supper! We will also have the bar open for liquid refreshments!

Hello Mums & Dads

 P5 Strathendrick festival 2016

BLUF:

Summer Tag Rugby starts 6 May at 1800-1915 followed by BBQ and beers !!!!

Strathendrick – A Great Finish for the Season!

Well done to all those who travelled to Strathendrick last Sunday.

Our mighty P3 team led by Nick were joint winners of their age group with GHK!!

The P4 & P5 teams played some fantastic rugby promoting team work and positivity throughout the tournament. I witnessed 4 of P5 players making a try saving tackle on a rather large opposition player which was inspiring to see!!

The P6 & P7 teams were semi-finalists, where both missed out on the final after playing superbly.

Again a big thank you to all involved last Sunday at Strathendrick it was great day of rugby.  On that note our season rugby season draws to a close but the summer rugby season begins!!
