A group of 25 of Hillfoots Minis were invited along with their coaches to visit Scotstoun to see Glasgow Warriors play Newport Dragons. Even better our boys & girls were asked to form part of the pre-match guard of honour, as well as play a short exhibition match at half time. One of our Parent Coaches commented, “My son’s only 9, but already he’s played in front of a bigger crowd than I’ve ever done!”.
Some of our players also had the chance to be “ball boys” during the match.
The event was organised by the SRU & Glasgow Warriors to welcome a number of local Clubs including Hillfoots to a new affiliation with Glasgow Warriors, as the focal point for our Club when it comes to professional rugby. So come on everyone, get your scarves out & cheer on the Warriors!
