BLUF:
  • It’s the big day of our festival we will have nearly 300 kids playing rugby on the park!
  • Fingers crossed for great weather!  Matches will be played from 1200-1430.
  • Its also the Alloa Half Marathon, so note the key period for the marathon through Tilly is 1030-1100.  To avoid this, please come along early at the normal time of 1000 and help set up!
  • Mums & Dads, we will need your help to make the day run smoothly, from bringing your fantastic home baking, to helping out with teas and coffees, to helping the coaches organise the matches – the kids cannot have a fun day without your support!
  • Youth – training at the Newfield in Dollar 1000-1130, or if you can’t get to Dollar, turn up and help out with the festival and you will be paid in hot dogs!

Hillfoots Rugby Festival 2017

On Sunday, we are hosting: Currie, Glasgow High Kelvinside, McLaren, Mackie, Kinross and Strathendrick.  Each club has been invited to bring teams from P3 through to P7.

This is our biggest fund raising day of the year – we need your help, so please Mums and Dads:

– Bring along some baking (whether from home or the Co-op!).
– Help out with the teas and coffees (we will have a rota so you can see your kids play as well as help out).
– Help with the hot dogs.
– Help set up the pitches and return the park to normal at the end!

Note the car park will be out of bounds and parking will be difficult, so arrive early for easy parking!

Each age group will have two adjacent pitches.

  • P3:  Touch tournament will be located on the lower end of the park on Pitches marked B nearest the clubhouse.
  • P4: Tournament will be located on the football pitch on Pitch Area C.
  • P5: Tournament will be located on the 2nd XV pitch at Pitch Area D.
  • P6: Tournament will be located on the 2nd XV pitch at Pitch Area E.
  • P7: Tournament will be located on the 1st XV pitch at on Pitch Area F.

The aim of the day is to have as many kids playing as many matches as possible – flexibility will be key!

There will be no central briefing – All age group coaches will meet up with the Hillfoots coach for their age group at 1150 to confirm playing times and numbers on the pitch for each age group.  We hope to have the kick offs at 1200 and to finish no later than 1430.
